Keep the quality, cut the size
Compress JPG, PNG, and WebP images right in your browser. Nothing is uploaded, so your photos never leave your device.
How much it actually saves
Changing only the format and quality of the same photo makes a big difference.
| Input | Setting | Result |
|---|---|---|
| 2.4MB PNG (photo) | WebP quality 80 | ~180KB |
| 2.4MB PNG (photo) | JPG quality 75 | ~320KB |
| 1.1MB JPG | JPG quality 60 | ~280KB |
For complex, colorful photos WebP is the most efficient. For logos and icons with flat areas or transparency, keeping PNG is usually the better choice.
Using the quality slider
- Around quality 80, the size drops sharply while the difference is barely visible.
- Below 50, blocky artifacts start showing up on text and edges.
- If you have a target size like 100KB, step the quality down gradually until you hit it.
