Korea Minimum Wage & Hourly Pay Calculator (2026)

Turn an hourly wage and weekly hours into weekly and monthly pay with Korea’s weekly holiday allowance, and compare it with the 2026 minimum wage of 10,320 KRW an hour.

Hourly pay plus weekly holiday allowance

In Korea, working 15+ hours a week earns a paid weekly holiday allowance (juhyu), so real pay is more than wage × hours. This tool adds it and shows weekly and monthly pay.

The 2026 minimum wage is 10,320 KRW/hour (2,156,880 KRW per month at 209 hours, which already includes the weekly holiday). Holiday hours = (weekly hours ÷ 40) × 8, capped at 8. Under 15 weekly hours, no holiday pay applies; monthly pay is weekly × 4.345 weeks. See the salary calculator for take-home pay.

Minimum wage for foreign workers

Korea’s minimum wage applies to everyone, whatever their nationality or visa — including E-9 and H-2 workers. For 2026 it is 10,320 KRW an hour, or 2,156,880 KRW a month for a standard 40-hour week (209 paid hours including the weekly holiday).

  • Overtime, night (10 pm–6 am) and holiday work are paid at least 1.5× the ordinary wage at workplaces with five or more employees, so a job with regular overtime pays well above the monthly minimum.
  • Meals or housing provided by the employer can only partly count toward the minimum wage, so check your contract if deductions for them leave you below it.
  • To see your pay in your home currency, convert the monthly figure with the currency exchange rate calculator.
