Acquisition tax by price band
Housing acquisition tax uses price-band rates: 1% up to 600M KRW, a 1–3% sliding rate from 600–900M, and 3% above 900M. The 600–900M band is (price × 2 ÷ 300M − 3)%.
On top come local education tax (rate × 50% × 20%) and, above 85㎡, a 0.2% rural special tax (exempt at or below 85㎡). This estimate excludes multi-home surcharges, first-home/newlywed reductions, adjusted-area add-ons, and non-residential property. Confirm with Wetax or a tax accountant.
